Turn around Bright Eyes

every now and then i fall apart

apo kono eh jang??

selamat hari raya selamat hari raya selamat hari raya!!

nasib baik lemang and rendang pedas is a yearly affair and not easily accessible the rest of the year. that's all. thank goodness. the same goes for lontong. nasib baik!!

on the first day of raya ibrahim pendek, the short actor, passed away. he first acted in p.ramli's panggilan pulau, and was the first malaysian and the first malay to act in a hollywood film. the film was 'the spiral road' and it starred rock hudson. the actress sharifah hanim also passed away on the first raya. she acted in p.ramli's 'masam masam manis', and is of 'hey orang sebelah!' fame.

yesterday morning 14 persons was killed in a road accident of the road kuala-lipis-gua musang involving an express bus and a school bus. it was the worst accident of this festive season.

this raya, the best advertisment is the petronas one. tv3's is a close second. tnb's? so not that good. people are still talking about the cekur kelapa one. boooo.

my cousin ayin got married yesterday. it was a simple affair, but surely a memorable one for her.

still on the subject of raya, my favourite kuih raya is - semperit, mazola, tat nenas(bukan gulung), and our own chocolate chip cookies. but this year, semperit and mazola is nowhere to be seen. where has all the kuih tradisional go? bring them back!!!!

i have lost faith in the citizens of malaysia. we are rude, selfish, self-centered, egoistic, racist, inconsiderate, irresponsible and ignorant. i hate the citizens of malaysia. because a country is it's people, so does this mean i hate malaysia? i dont, i dont. it's the people that's making me sick.

i am now looking for evidence of why i should love this country, my country, and will try to list them for posterity. i have one today:

reason why i love malaysia: we have butchered the english language perfectly, resulting in manglish. its easier and faster to express whatever you want to say. for instance, if you do not want to do something, instead of saying in perfect english 'i dont want to do that', we can just say, 'DO WAN'. there. point taken. plain and simple. and the best part is, anyone malaysian, will understand.

Malaysia yang ku puja, di desa juga di kota. lets make that a reality.
