Went to Amcorp Mall yesterday and bought a Carpenters record to play with the gramophone at home. I was disappointed to learn that the record was too fast for the gramophone player. My father says the gramophone can only play slow records - really really old records and the modern ones - maybe after the fifties? they won't be compatible. Damnnn. I was really looking forward to having a new obsession - old records. I saw a lot at the flea market - everything that I wanted to buy! There was one of Wham! heeheee.. luckily we only bought one. If not I'll be even sadder. Guess I am now just keeping the Carpenters album as a memorabilia - something to remind me of the obsession that was never meant to be.
