june 14 - endearing kind of way
that someone's really excited about buying enid blyton books that they thought new, "because i'm into mystery now" kinda breaks the heart, in an endearing kind of way. and then i suddenly KNOW that sometime ago when i was into Dune and (excitingly)told people about it, in their hearts people were probably all "awwh. dune? i read that when i was a baby. you're so... cute."(okay maybe not the last part).

what a novel idea! it's like the exchanging postcards with people all over the world thing back in primary school. once i sent a card to a girl living in denver, colorado named inez. i was really curious about how to pronounce the name. it seemed magical. i waited and waited for a response, and then it came: return to sender because i had gotten the house number mixed up. i was just totally crushed.
