so i caved and bought another book before mr strange and jonathan norrell is finished. it was one of jean plaidy's. and just to show that you can't mess around with rules, and magic, and rules that involves magic (mr strange and jonathan strange is about a million pages of magic, people), the book is less than stellar. totally unexpected, that. (but i am only up to page 10). so, yeah, don't mess with magic.
