24th April - No Jewel
i just got to thinking that okay, while emma IS acting like a petulant child, snow does not need to push her to get her to talk about her feelings. i get that she's emma's mom and of course does not WANT emma to be mad at her but give her time? and just, what about the time when emma made the milk boil and snow kinda... not let emma take neal? did she think about how emma might have felt? a thing that bothered me about this show is they never really talk about their feelings or what had happened. more like, they embraced that things have changed for the better and let's just hug and make up and forget about it. i want to know how they hashed it out. i want to get to the real feelings. that's the only thing that's missing.
anyway i hope when emma did what she did she understood why her parents did what they did - basically almost the same thing. it just breaks my heart to see charming affected when emma said she doesn't trust them. on the other hand she still went home to have a meeting on what to do - at least there's that, that on some level, she still needed them to be on her team and with her.
i wanted to look for the jewel poem i loved from her book here - only to discover diaryland's search term doesn't work! what's up, andrew? bummer.
