28th december - rebel

Rogue one

My fav jedi is ipman. He was so cool srsly the cooooolest jediiiiiiii everrrrrr. He wasnt a real jedi tho. Just a force believer but damn he kicked ass.
To me its a little weird jyn suddenly became a rebel and believed in it so hard. On the ship after edau she was still blaming the alliance for bombing the platform.
To me just flying into scarfi(sp?) without any real plans was kind of stupid. Jyn might be amateur rebel but captain andor should have known better. If it was so tough getting in how about getting out? Plus no one thought about being able to transmit the schematics initally so basically the plan WAS retrieve and escape.
I was pleased at seeing mon mothma and then figuratively peed in my pants when tarkin showed up. Holy crap.
K2so was a pleasant droid and a breath of fresh air. What a change from annoying 3po.
I also love the different music from the usual starwars franchise. It's quite obvious but very complementary.
(written right after seeing rogue one)

and then today the world woke up to news of carrie fisher, died at 60. she had a heart attack on the plane a few days before but reportedly out of critical stage just one day ago.

she forever lives as princess leia but as carrie fisher, she kicked ass a lot too.

i'm glad we(the new generation who were babies when star wars first came out and actually had no business being so obsessed over it(me)) got a chance to see her being the princess general leia in a time relevant(current) star wars movie. Thanks, Carrie Fisher. Thanks for saying yes. Thanks for fueling my dreams, my fancies.

thanks for being a rebel.

in other news, i bought two of the laura mercier caviar sticks. in jungle (i love the name) and plum (because unicorn?)

i'm sad, crazy, unhinged, puny, low, and dare hope for happiness.
