what i like about the last jedi
the cute round birds of the island (only via internet we find their names are porg)
rey's blue eyeliner
freaking laura dern (i had no idea)
girl powerism - there are a lot of girl fighters
how poe got his flyboy ass served - not all heroes are impulsive and immediate take charge. i love how he thinks he's such a hot shot everyone has to tell him everything but lady laura dern just did the leader thing - quietly and wisely. (and no telling poe because he is just a soldier)
what i hate
Finn. i realised he is annoying and totally unnecessary. when he was going straight into the cannon, i was happy because maybe he'll die?
what i'm confused about
so... in the 1st movie the republic was the government and FO was actually the rebellion. and now suddenly FO is ruling the galaxies and... the heads are just snoke hux and kylo? so when snoke is gone the heads are just... hux? and kylo? baby hux? emo kylo? that's... it? i... don't get it.
that one time finn was walking around in a leaking suit, no alarms sounded when he woke up? it doesn't NEED to be space station size alarm, just medical lab alarm. how come there are no updated version of two-one-bees tending to him? also? it's obviously NO ONE cared because he walked around in a leaking suit until bb8 spotted him. people there must hate him as much as me.
what i'm ok with
luke's death. i accept it. i might not like what luke had become, cutting himself off from the force just because kylo ren went major emo and broke his parents' heart, but maybe he is human afterall. despite everything that he had done (considering bantam's storylines) it's a little bit hard to accept how he reacted, but the one thing that i'm really ok about is
i read somewhere with these movies, no clear storylines are set. the directors are free to interpret however they choose. so it's no use DEMANDING these stories fit in with what fans know or what fans insist are true in their heads or how certain things SHOULD NOT be. it just is.
i wanted benicio del toro to be the next space rouge replacing han. too bad.
