Turn around Bright Eyes

every now and then i fall apart

30th dec - dark place

i saw in I's friend's insta entry there was a souvenir from shakespeare company in paris.
i immediately assumed I won't even be thinking of me about getting as souvenir from there. those kinds of souvenir are for cool friends.
i mean, the last time she went to paris, the only she brought me was a cat postcard.
not that i NEED her to get me anything.
but my mind is evil, and it went down that path.
it thought, well, sometimes when you're friends with someone since forever, you dont even know what to get them. its the cool friends, or the friends that you want to impress that you would get things for.

today, i have been proven so wrong. i should be ashamed.
i received the same thing, an envelope with poems from the shakespeare company. i even received an embossed hufflepuff notebook from HP shop.

seriously. my mind is so dark it automatically thinks about these things. i hope that journalling thing i want to do in 2020 improves my mental health, man. i'm sick as sick.

anyway, then i got to reading about this famed bookstore. it has an interesting history, that's for sure.
but a bookstore is still a store you buy books from, unless you're a writer or an artist. then this place will have a special place in your heart.
anyway, the extra about this bookstore is if you buy books from it, your book will be stamped by the store's stamp so the whole buying experience is unique. your book will be handled lovingly by the people. you will walk off knowing you bought a book from a place full of history and famous people have walked and touched and breathed in the space.

if i ever get to paris, i would visit this place. i would also visit the original site where there is a plaque about the original owner founding james joyce's ulysses.
