yesterday i had intention to buy the sugar free drink i saw at starbucks the other day. they were tea based with other things like lemon, chrysanthemum, pomegranate in them. i picked one up before i saw they were 27 per bottle. per bottle! i could buy them but they are SO EXPENSIVE i got mocha instead.

yesterday morning i got roti bakar from foodcourt below, 2 orders. only after ordering i saw they were 2.50 per set. PER SET. the bread was mighty white. butter was planta? kaya, kaya. 2.50. it was bloody murder and criminal. but i ordered so i had to pay. privilege.
i read on instagram londoners were sweltering under the current heat. they were complaining. and they will have cold winters when it will be too cold and they too, will complain of the cold. being on instagram the complainers will be people who have access to clean water and clean ice and beverages to cool them down, and, access to hot water and clean water when temperature dips.
sisteraid made a mention, feeling hot while having access to clean water when a large percent of the world have no access at all no matter what their conditions are.

we are all steeped in privilege. and not a syukr to Allah for being the provider of those privileges you don't even see them.
